dentist
and
lab
technician
fabricate
a
provisional
prosthesis,
which
will
be
modified
with
acrylic
resin
after
implant
surgery.
During
surgery,
the
periodontist
makes
an
incision
in
the
maxilliary
and/or
mandibular
arch.
When
the
flaps
are
raised,
the
periodontist
assesses
the
quality
and
quantity
of
bone,
determining
the
ideal
sites
for
the
placement
of
dental
implants.
Radiographs
are
taken
after
suturing
to
confirm
the
correct
positioning
of
implants
to
support
the
temporary
prosthesis.
After
three
to
six
months
of
postoperative
