Jr.
His
parents,
both
educators

PhDs

Demetrio

pursue

a

Chalk
dust

blackboards
at
an
early
age
reinforced
his
vocation
to
educate
and
for
public
affairs.
The
historical
development
of
Lincoln-MartC-
in
Miami
dates
back
to
the
1960b
when
Castro
tyranny
in
Cuba
forced
Demetrio
Perez,
Jr
to
immigrate
to
the
United
States.
His
parents
who
were
educators
in
Cuba
followed
soon
after.
The
Perez
family
quickly
started
to
work
in
the
field
that
they
only
knew,
education.
